This 7-day adventure-driven itinerary takes you on an exciting journey through Uganda, from the bustling city of Kampala to the adrenaline capital of Jinja, and on to the stunning Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You'll go white water rafting on the Nile River, see wildlife on a game drive and a sunset boat cruise, go chimpanzee trekking and gorilla trekking, and experience traditional dance performances. With a mix of adventure and culture, this itinerary offers a unique and unforgettable way to experience Uganda's natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.

Day 1 | Arrival in Entebbe, transfer to Kampala

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be met by our guide who will transfer you to Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you may have time to explore the city and its many cultural sites, such as the Kasubi Tombs, the Uganda National Mosque, or the Uganda Museum. You’ll spend the night at a hotel in Kampala.

Day 2 | Drive to Jinja

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Jinja, the adrenaline capital of Uganda. Here, you’ll experience the thrill of white water rafting on the Nile River, one of the most exciting rafting spots in the world. If you’re feeling even more adventurous, you can try bungee jumping or ziplining at Adrift Adventure Park. You’ll spend the night at a hotel in Jinja.

Day 3 | Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to a variety of wildlife such as elephants, lions, leopards, and hippos. You’ll go on a game drive to see these animals up close, and then go on a sunset boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel to see more wildlife and enjoy the stunning sunset over the water. You’ll spend the night at a lodge in the park.

Day 4 | Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you’ll go on a chimpanzee trekking experience in either the Kyambura Gorge or Kalinzu Forest Reserve. These reserves are home to a large number of chimpanzees, as well as other primates such as the red-tailed monkey and black-and-white colobus monkey. After the trek, you’ll go on a guided nature walk in the Maramagambo Forest, home to bat caves and other interesting wildlife. You’ll spend the night at a lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 5 | Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s population of mountain gorillas. You’ll go on a gorilla trekking experience, which can take several hours depending on the location of the gorillas. It’s an unforgettable experience to see these incredible creatures up close in their natural habitat. You’ll spend the night at a lodge near the park.

Day 6 | Return to Kampala

After breakfast, you’ll drive back to Kampala, where you can explore more of the city’s cultural sites, such as the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine or the Bahai Temple. In the evening, you’ll visit the Ndere Cultural Centre for traditional dance performances and a delicious dinner. You’ll spend the night at a hotel in Kampala.

Day 7 | Departure from Entebbe

Today, you’ll transfer back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Entebbe.
