Lake Mburo

Lake Mburo National Park is situated in the western part of Uganda and spans an area of 370 square kilometers. The park, which is named after Lake Mburo, boasts of diverse wildlife, including different antelope species like impala, eland, and topi. The park is also home to zebras, crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, and several primate species like olive baboons and vervet monkeys. The park has recorded over 350 bird species, with the rare shoebill stork being among them.

The walking safari is one of the park's major attractions, where visitors can explore the park on foot, accompanied by a ranger guide, to get a closer view of the wildlife and appreciate the park's ecosystem's small details, such as the different plant species and colorful butterflies. The park also offers other activities like boat safaris, horseback riding, and game drives. Visitors can enjoy a boat safari on Lake Mburo, where they can view hippos, crocodiles, and several bird species up close. The horseback riding safari is also a unique experience that allows visitors to explore the park's landscapes and witness wildlife such as zebras and antelopes grazing in the grasslands.
